About your Maternity Photography Session
WHAT TO EXPECT AT YOUR SESSION
A lot of fun! We'll be shooting for up to an hour, but we keep the session very light and spontaneous. We'll include a variety of posed images, as well as natural, free-flowing images to document such an important time in your lives.
We're always looking at the world in terms of light, colour and composition. This helps us create images that are uniquely yours - they will convey a sense of joy and spontaneity, but they have also been thoughtfully crafted and composed. You can bring your other children (or fur-babies!) along with you, or keep your maternity session just of you and your partner. It's up to you!
Location - Where we hold your session
We've previously held sessions outdoors at the park, at the beach, in backyards and front yards, by rivers, harbours and oceans and indoors at homes all across Sydney. If you have an idea for your location, or if you'd like some inspiration to help you choose we'd love to hear from you.
We recommend choosing a location that has a certain significance for your family. This can be as simple as your own backyard, or a park you used to visit when the children were growing up. If you're unsure where to hold your session we'd be happy to provide a few ideas.
How to prepare for your session
After you've made your booking with us we'll be in touch with advice on how to best prepare for your session. It's all very simple, but we'll answer a few common questions such as "What should we wear?" and "What time of day is best?" We'll also ask you a few questions to ensure we're well prepared. Our ultimate aim is to capture what it feels like at this exciting stage as you're about to welcome the newest member of your family.
When to hold your maternity session
We recommend holding your session anytime between 30-34 weeks of pregnancy. Your bump will be beautifully pronounced at this stage, and we won't be cutting it too close to your due date.
What happens after your session
You'll receive a secure, online gallery with your full set of images. You can review absolutely everything before you decide what you'd like to purchase, whether you're choosing prints, digital files, an album, or one of our packages.
